Why moisturising is important

I used to very rarely moisturize, which of course, over time wasn't doing anything good for my skin. My T-Zone, and around my nose was so dry - which had always been somewhat dry - but my cheeks also started to feel the impact of the neglect to my skin. When I put my foundation, it looked dry and caked - which isn't a good look for anyone.

I started using a Nivea moisturize, after a few days I started seeing results, my skin looked healthier too. I applied a good 2-3 layers while getting ready in the mornings so re-hydrate my skin, and then applied a night cream at night to get my skin feeling healthier.

I don't think many people realize it actually is to moisturize, my skin was always pretty healthy until a few months ago, so I never thought before that I needed to moisturize, But I think even when your skin is healthy, you need to look after it in order to keep it that way. If having a 'routine' isn't your thing - having to use 30 products to look after your face (not my thing either!) just apply a bit of moisturizer daily. It may not be an hour long routine but it's better than leaving your skin to dry up.

Two moisturizes I'd recommend it the NIVEA  daily essentials sensitive  day cream - £4.49
or if you don't mind spending the extra cash the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion is very good too - £29
